Do I need plans to raise my house?
Yes. Plans are required for engineering, certification, builder pricing and construction.
Do I need Council approval?
A Building Approval (BA) is required. Planning approvals (DA) may also apply due to height, character, heritage or flooding constraints depending on your suburb. We can provide you with a guide during the initial design phase.
Can I build underneath?
Usually, yes. We can design bedrooms, living areas, bathrooms, garages and storage beneath your house to add more space and value. Some areas may be restricited by a flood zone, and we can provide this guidance to you before committing.
What plans do you provide for a house raise?
We provide concept plans, 3D renders, floor plans, elevations, working drawings as well as recommendations to structural engineers, town planners and certifiers.
Will I need a survey?
Most projects require a detail and level survey. Depending on where your boundary lies, you may also require an identification survey and / or a setout survey prior to the raise taking place. We partner with the team at Survey My Block who can answer all of those questions for you.
