BUILDING DESIGNERS IN BRISBANE
Building projects can be fairly complex at times with many different factors that need to be taken into consideration. Our experienced team can guide you through the process. Whether it’s raising your house, building an extension or a new home, there are generally 4-5 steps required to get the project up and going.

STEP 1 – DRAFTING YOUR PLANS
At Designer Planning, we provide an efficient and cost-effective drafting house plan service to our clients. This step includes and site measure/visits to gather all the information for your project. We know what councils and builders want to see on their plans, in consultation with our clients we can prepare complete house plans for your project.

STEP 2 – FINALISING PLANS & RECCOMMEND ENGINEERING
During this stage, the elevations for your projects will be finalised and all the necessary details completed for the engineering process to begin. Also, we can now provide a recommendation for an accurate quote for engineering.

STEP 3 – SOIL TEST & ENGINEERING
The engineers we reccommend will sign off on the structural integrity of the project and ensure that the project is constructed in the correct way. Once a soil test is complete the soil engineers can design correct footings and foundations. If you already have plans prepared by another architect or building designer, the engineers we reccommend can finalise the engineering for you.

STEP 4 – DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION
This step may or may not be required depending on the scope of your project. We can advise at the beginning of the process. If however you do need Town Planning we will asist you through the process.

STEP 5 -CERTIFICATION
A quote for private certification can be obtained from any registered certifier. The private certifier requires plans that we develop with our clients along with the soil and structural engineers plans to grant building approval. We can recommend several private certifiers at this stage depending on your project type.
